CIVIL - The Beast Inside!

Once in a town, so prim and so neat,
Lived two neighbors on a quiet street.
One had a dog, the other—a son,
A match made in heaven, or perhaps, none.
The boy ran past with joy in his stride,
The dog saw food, or maybe just pride.
It barked, it growled, it gave a small chase,
And lo! A scandal! A full-fledged case.
"Control your beast!" the father did shout,
The dog owner scoffed, "What’s this about?
Dogs will bark, like kids will cry,
Why so angry? Why so spry?"
But words weren’t enough, no, not anymore,
Civility’s dead, let’s settle the score.
Out came the gun, polished and bright,
Because clearly, that’s how you solve a fight.
Bang! went reason, shot in the chest,
Empathy gasped, "Oh dear, what a mess!"
Justice arrived, but much too late,
Shaking her head at mankind’s fate.
… And so the world rolls, day after day,
Where patience is lost in the silliest way.
A parking spot, a grocery queue,
"One wrong move, I’m coming for you!"
Oh, how we’ve grown! Oh, how we shine!
With gadgets, with AI, with weapons divine.
Yet here we stand, feral at heart,
Shooting at neighbors, oh, what fine art!
So next time your temper gets ready to burst,
Take a deep breath—think of this first:
Would you rather be right, or rather be free?
Or just another beast in this comedy?
